Chapter 01 · Childhood
The computer became a school
On a Windows 98 machine I taught myself HTML, Flash and design. At 16 I was already formatting computers for a living and tutoring students.
The lawyerfor gamers.
Lawyer working nationally and internationally, Master of Laws (UFSC), author of three books and columnist on games and esports.

Who he is
With a lifelong passion for games and a pioneering practice dedicated exclusively to the esports ecosystem, Bruno Cassol (admitted to the Santa Catarina and São Paulo Bars) has become known across Brazil as the Gamer Lawyer. His work covers the defence of pro players, influencers and teams and extends to strategic support for studios and developers, providing the legal certainty needed to structure and grow businesses in the games market. The practice combines courtroom rigour with digital agility, from reversing bans and consumer disputes to complex contracts and digital compliance.
The story

“Sport does not build character. It reveals it.”

Chapter 01 · Childhood
On a Windows 98 machine I taught myself HTML, Flash and design. At 16 I was already formatting computers for a living and tutoring students.

Chapter 02 · At 18
At 18 I started law school at UFSC in Florianópolis. With two classmates I put together an amateur League of Legends team: three computers in one room and practice after class. Fate would lead me to work with games in a way I never imagined.

Chapter 03 · Background
Towards the end of law school I dove into law and artificial intelligence, a path that took me to a master’s degree at UFSC. Postgraduate degrees in Labour Law, Data Protection and Intellectual Property followed, and with them the lesson no classroom teaches: understanding games and esports in practice.

Chapter 04 · Until 2023
Driven by a genuine connection with games, I built an independent practice focused 100% on esports. That work led to the book “Direito e Gamers: Direito dos Jogos Eletrônicos”, on pro-player employment, image rights, doping in esports and video game law.

Chapter 05 · 2024
I founded Esports Hub LATAM, published more than 40 articles in specialised outlets and spoke on Brazil’s biggest stages, including Brasil Game Show, Campus Party, IGI Expo, PlayMinas and EXPO CIEE, while still defending accounts and reversing bans.

Chapter 06 · 2025
I founded the Santa Catarina Games and Esports Federation and joined Think Games Hub as a partner. What I defended in court I now also helped build inside the industry’s institutions and businesses.

Chapter 07 · 2026
I professionalised the practice: faster service, organised processes and a full catalogue for people who play, compete, create, organise and develop. The same year I became vice-president of the Brazilian Games and Esports Association (ABGE) and started working as sales representative for ND Games, part of the ND+ group, a Record affiliate.
